John I. Todor, Ph.D, CEO

John_PhotoJohn is the co-founder and CEO of the Alliance for Business Innovation. He developed the Alliance’s Adaptive Business Ecosystem model that is the foundation of the Alliance modus operandi. This model encompasses three interrelated functions: (1) articulation of an adaptive business ecosystem; (2) a methodology for using collaboration and collective intelligence to implement a dynamic outside-in, customer centered approach, and; (3) an actionable framework for using social computing tools and strategies to build individual and organizational adaptive potential.

Prior to founding the Alliance he was the Managing Partner of The Whetstone Edge, LLC. There he developed a psycho-economic framework to assess how a company’s customer interactions and processes influence customer-buying mindsets. He has owned and managed a marketing firm with clients that included General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Domino’s Pizza, held executive positions with technology companies, and worked as a CRM analyst. As the Managing Partner of The Whetstone Edge, LLC he helps companies implement business strategies that strengthen customer relationships and profitability. Clients range from small entrepreneurial ventures to multi-nationals like Hewlett-Packard and IBM.

He earned his Ph.D. degree in Educational Psychology at the University of California at Berkeley and completed post-doctoral studies in cognitive science, clinical neuropsychology and marketing. During his fourteen years as a professor at the University of Michigan and the University of California, his research focused on how people learn and make decisions.

He has served as co-director of the Association for the Advancement of Relationship Marketing’s Customer Equity Initiative and as a partner in Ogilvy’s Customer Futures Group. He currently is on the editorial board of CustomerThink.com, a leading online community that provides thought leadership, strategies and tactics that enhance the customer experience. As a director in Social Media Academy he helps develop executive education programs and teaches courses on the strategic use of social media.

Del Langdon, President

Del nurtured the evolution of eLearning Forum into the Center for Learning Innovation and cofounded the Alliance to expand the vision and relevance to the entire business ecosystems. Del has pioneered the use of co-development labs within corporations as a method of instilling innovation and alignment across functional units. As head of the Center for Learning Innovation, she refined the used of co-development labs in a cross-corporate content. Her work is the foundation of the Alliance’s Co-Development Labs and its customer Incubation Program.

Del has over 30 years experience helping corporate executive and management teams to significantly improve organizational performance. She guides business transformation through the definition of integrated enterprise strategy (business, customer, channel, organizational capability, learning, technology) and alignment around its execution. She works to define and implement a differentiated customer/client relationship experience. Del has led the implementation of organizational change strategies using the Balanced Scorecard, Experience Value Chain, business and technology architectures, and enterprise change integration.

Previously, she led the US strategy practice for CGI-Digital 4Sight; the Organizational Design practice for Seurat Company; co-founded and was Vice President for West Coast consulting practices of Bridge Strategy Group, Renaissance Worldwide. Prior to that she was CEO of Trigon, a management consulting and integrated software development firm, and Research Director at Bell Northern Research. Del Langdon & Associates is comprised of a partnering team of very experienced consultants and architects who have worked together for many years. DLA also partners with other solution providers and consulting firms to suit the needs of the client.

Del and her team have led large transformation business integration programs for clients such as Citibank, Farm Credit Canada, Bank, TD Bank, CIBC, Wells Fargo Bank, Sanwa Bank, Charles Schwab, JP Morgan, Export Development Canada, BC Hydro, LA Department of Water and Power, Women’s College Hospital, Boeing, Hughes, Cisco, Siebel, SRI International. These engagements have resulted in measurable business and organizational outcomes that have been featured in Harvard and Stanford business cases, Forrester Research, and business publications.

She has a degree in Business Administration from University of Toronto, is co-author (with Don Tapscott) of the book, Planning for Integrated Systems, A Strategic Approach and author of white papers on The Case for ERM (Employee Relationship Management), Realizing the Return on CRM Investments, The High Performing Enterprise, an Enterprise Portal Perspective, and Learning Innovation Labs. She has contributed and co-authored research papers for SRIC-BI’s Learning on Demand Program on Workflow Learning, Learning Architectures, and Partner Learning. Del is also CEO and a member of the board of the eLearning Forum (now Center for Learning Innovation) based in Silicon Valley, CA.

Anne M. Casey, VP of Business Development

Anne’s background as an entrepreneur, executive, consultant and educator, forms the basis for her approach of applying systems thinking, innovative technologies and cross-organizational knowledge to address complex business problems in a rapidly changing environment.

She is the architect of the Alliance’s infrastructure for building capacity for long-term growth and sustainability through fund development, strategic partnerships and alliances, and expanded membership services.

Working with large organizations and small early to mid-stage companies, Anne’s work has addressed strategy, leadership, fundraising, operations and program development in academic, environmental, governmental and related organizations. Anne has led and co-led transformational change efforts in mature organizations that realign business practices with strategy to enable innovation and future success. She has helped small companies and NGO’s understand their enterprise and position themselves for growth and scalability.

Anne has developed and executed regional strategies for major capital campaigns for as much as $3 billion dollars. She has recruited, trained and deployed volunteer and leadership boards and has an extensive track record of forging relationships that engage business leaders, politicians, academics and volunteers toward a common vision and goals.

Anne’s professional roles include: President of Anne Casey Consulting and Organizational Learning Associates; Washington, DC Regional Director of Development at the University of Virginia; Director of Operations at the Nature Conservancy; Director of the Stanford Leadership Institute; and Founder and Executive Director of the Maricopa Medical Center, Family Involvement Center.

Anne is co-author of “Workplace Alternatives” (CUPA Publications,1994) a comprehensive ‘how-to’ guide for reducing costs and improving performance by creating more agile and mobile workplaces.
She has a B.A. in Business Administration & Organizational Design from Regis University and advanced certifications from Columbia University’s Executive Program in Change Leadership and Organizational Development, and Stanford University’ Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program.
